Nominations closed today for Metis Nation of Alberta elections 2011

Shalom and Tansi,

It was a busy weekend getting signatures, thank God the weather was good.
I handed in my papers today with 171 signatures.  150 were needed.
Thank you again to everyone who signed. 
I will now work on a brochure which will outline my platform.

FYI dates   Last day for withdrawing nominations:         Wed July 27, 2011
                  Posting of Notice of Polls and Candidates:  Friday August 12, 2011
                  Posting of list of electors:                            Friday, August 12, 2011
                 Advance Poll:                                             Saturday, August 27, 2011
                 Election:                                                      Tuesday, September 6, 2011
Polls open advance adn on election day:  8am-8 pm.
to vote must be properly registered with the Metis Nation of Alberta.  No vouching at the election.
